The president of PC manufacturer Acer, Scott Lin, said the company will launch its 10-inch Aspire One netbook in February or March, according to a report released Tuesday. Currently, Acer is only selling the 8.9-inch Aspire One netbook, which constitute the majority of the company’s sales of notebook computers in its home market of Taiwan. The netbook comes with a wireless broadband network for faster data speeds offered by 3G and comes with a mobile data service in Taiwan (TWM).

Lin also said average prices of netbooks is expected to end about 10 percent by the end of 2008, with netbooks mid-range, priced between $ 900 and $ 1,200 fastest declining prices.

From 2008 IT show kickoff next week, Acer launched a 14.1-inch LED notebook prices on the equivalent of $ 1,200. This is the first of a series of laptops due to LED for output in 2009 and is expected to include 12.1, 13.3 and 15.6-inch models. A more traditional laptop with a 13.3-inch all-in-one PC will make its debut on the market under the brand Hall to complement the Gateway notebook line in the current range.
