Taiwanese hardware manufacturer BenQ announced Tuesday the upcoming release of its latest ultra-portable netbook PC, 2.9 pounds, 11.6-inch Joybook Lite U121 Eco With a 1366×768 screen resolution and a 16:9 ratio combined with the availability of units of high capacity storage and an HDMI output, the Joybook Lite U121 Eco is designed as a core media. Processing power comes from a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520, with the optional six-cell battery gives a lifespan of eight hours. A battery of three cells is the default.

There are several disk storage options, from a 160 GB hard drive, 250 GB, 320 GB and 500 GB units. A solid state drive can be mounted with hard drives, ranging in size from 8 GB, 16 GB to 32 GB through. It is also an option of Windows XP Home Edition or Linux Lite. While 1 GB of RAM is common, can be upgraded to 2 GB

An 802.11 b / g / N WLAN card is included, while Bluetooth 2.1 and HSUPA mobile broadband are optional. An integrated 1.3 megapixel camera, and two 2W speakers and VoIP capabilities.

The Eco Joybook Lite U121 will be available in blue or white in June in China, Malaysia and Taiwan. Were not announced prices.
