BlackBerry OS 6.0 with Webkit Browser

It seems we’ve waited forever for the popular RIM finally deliver its popular, reliable, but aging operating system into the modern day. BlackBerry OS was a little late to the party with a third-party app store, and it has yet to see anything near to the success of the iPhone or Android in terms of apps available and downloaded. In addition, the BlackBerry Web browser has been the Achilles heel of its main terminals otherwise large, and for many users, is a deal breaker in purchasing decisions.

A new and long-awaited BlackBerry OS 6.0 seems that finally reveals what BlackBerry addicts have been waiting for. It has a Webkit browser that makes Web pages more like office page quality and supports tabbed browsing. The media player has been updated to look a little nicer, and demonstrates the art of album covers, such as Apple Cover Flow style. Perhaps best of all, OS 6.0 supports multitouch gestures throughout the system. This means that multitouch work in the browser, maps, photo galleries and elsewhere multitouch would make sense. In general, this is a very welcome update for the BlackBerry operating system and, without even being paid in full, is already approved for BlackBerry fans everywhere. You feel consumers have a taste for it, too
