Canon has chosen to update the unusual mid-day today to launch a couple of changes to for HDV camcorders. The XH A1S and XH G1S both had the 20X zoom enhanced to provide better control over focus, zoom and iris and device firmware that enables users to adjust the zoom speed to provide a more natural feeling pull-in or pull shots. Audio has also received a boost with two XLR inputs with variable sensitivity, the possibility of recording with an external microphone and integrated at the same time, overall performance and better sound quality.

The two chambers continue to share the optical image stabilization in the long term, SDHC card slot to exchange sequences, extreme personalization white balance and other parameters to generate special effects, and the option disparities in the quality of the film 24 fps progressive 30 FPS or 60 FPS interlaced mode. An optional hard disk attachment allows more normal shooting HDV tape available.

The XH A1S is designed for novice enthusiasts and professionals who need the standard input and output and should be available in late December of $ 3,999. The G1S at its highest price $ 6,999 adds HD and SD-SDI input and output time code input Genlock synchronization multi-camera shoot.
