LG Trumotion 480hz

LG Korea announced on Tuesday that  it would unveil the first panel LCD TV with 480Hz refresh rate at the CES show in January. The company is naming the  display under the name TruMotion 480Hz, and promises to provide a perfect reproduction, thanks to a response time of high-speed 4 ms. The refresh rate has been achieved through a reexamination backlight, integrated into the panel and be able to double the performance of current 240Hz sets.Although LG has not specified what type of resolutions provide new signage, which supports the screen has exceptional brightness and darkness levels, for a lifetime of image quality. It is also the promise of reducing energy consumption through the backlight intensity adjustable.

LG plans to launch the panel in the second half of 2009. but has not announced screen sizes or pricing information.
