Microsoft Ending Support For Vista Sooner Rather Than Later
Apparently Microsoft are so keen to Windows Vista than us. Microsoft has said it will stop supporting Windows Vista operating system a few months ahead of Windows XP SP2 and Windows 2000.
Support Windows Vista RTM (ie Vista without Service Packs), ending 13 April. Support for Windows XP SP2 and all updates for Windows 2000 ends July 13. Also on that date, Microsoft will stop support for Windows Server 2000. If you use these versions after April 13, you will not receive updates or support.
What does end of support means that Microsoft will no longer be updated security issue of these products, leaving them open to more security holes that may arise.
Also July 13, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 support moves that have supported standard. In Extended Support, Microsoft no longer offers free incident response, security, or design changes and feature requests. Instead users will have to pay to open a support ticket.
But the answer to this question is very simple, really. If you are using Windows Vista RTM, simply update the Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2 if your Windows XP SP3 update. Or maybe even better idea would be to upgrade to Windows 7, or an entirely new PC. And for those of you running Windows 2000, have a new computer please!

There is a good chance Windows XP will still be supported by the time Windows Vista support ends.
