An image of a test of the Japanese market advertising to print fled on Tuesday, appears to offer an ambiguous look first in what many consider to be the format Nikon coming so far called MX. The announcement, while controversial and raises some issues with authenticity, is a Japanese word that roughly translates to “large”, which is also consistent with what is known so Nikon MX rumors. The ad shows a larger diameter lens mount with a ring of security and make connections to current Nikon digital SLRs, or what some speculate that a smaller body is the Society of FX sensor.

Nikon currently has two sizes of sensors for its line of digital SLR cameras, DX and FX. FX format as used in the D3 and D700 has the same framework as film cameras 35mm old, while DX is smaller than the images of the crop by a factor of 1.5, for which effectively set a target of 50 mm focal length of 75mm.

Lynx Digital SLR enthusiasts to observe that the camera lacks some key features, like a live debate and contact pins that do not match. In addition, there are eight contact pins instead of seven, but could point to a different format MX technology will bring. Another MX report format to compete with medium format cameras with a resolution of up to 40.7 megapixels.

There is no official information about whether the MX format coming to market, if Nikon promises a “big” announcement in February 2009 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
