RIM Announces New Web Browser, Super Apps, and BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express

Great things happen in the world of RIM. At Mobile World Conference 2010, the company unveiled several new applications that are designed to improve the usability of BlackBerry smartphones.

The first is a new browser, RIM co-CEO Mike Lazaridis said to be able to browse faster carrier networks and rendering web pages more efficiently. Unfortunately, an official name and release date has not been revealed.

Also in the works are what RIM calls “Super Apps, contextual applications to be integrated into one of the essential functions of the BlackBerry. Lazaridis demonstrated how BlackBerry users can send and read Twitter updates from your inbox.

RIM has also made the cover of another new product, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express is an open source server that synchronizes wirelessly with Microsoft Exchange BlackBerry devices (2010, 2007, 2003) and Microsoft Windows SBS (2008, 2003) . Available in March, BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express is designed for customers of small and medium businesses who want to let employees use their own phones for business emails, contacts, calendar, tasks and tasks related to other topics.
