Toshiba launches REGZA HDTVs, TV/DVD combos
At the IFA 2008 in Berlin show, Toshiba has introduced two new REGZA LCD HDTV brand, including the ZF series, which can convert video files in high definition standard definition only. The TV line does this by way of what Toshiba is calling Toshiba + technology which uses the same type as those used in cell processors Sony PlayStation 3 game console to improve the edges and details in the images. The poster ZF-series is available in a size of 40 inches with 40ZF575D 46ZF575D and 46-inches.
HDTV is capable of 1080p resolution with a 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratios. The poster will 6ms response time 120Hz. Connections include four HDMI inputs, component video input, RGB input and PC input.
The news also RV-line of LCD HDTV uses the same 1080p, 120Hz panels and associated specifications, but the functionality is growing and is one of the four HDMI ports that point cheap. More options include a smaller model of 37 inches, plus 42 – and 46-inch versions.
XV The existing line has not changed, despite new 46 – and the sizes of 52 inches are available, with new colors black bezel to match the rest of the REGZA line-up.
Offer something new is the DV series HD-Ready LCD screens that have side-mounted DVD players. They offer shows a 720p resolution with a 1000:1 contrast ratio of either 19 – or 22-inch sizes, with an HDMI input and integrated digital tuner.
The three new lines should be launched in Europe in its current form, this October, but no price or release specific information has been released.
